Upon arriving in Munich I was taken by private driver to the Angelo Hotel Munich Westpark. This was a contemporary hotel in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from city center. After checking into the hotel, I met my travel mates and had lunch. We were then off on a guided walking tour of the city that ended with a fabulous German dinner at Ratskeller, a great restaurant in the Marienplatz area. After being up for over 28 hours, I was ready for some zzz’s.
We took the train out to the Dachau Concentration Camp, which took approximately 25 minutes to get there. What an incredible day. It really brought the history books to life. It was so interesting, but also a very somber day.
